Development

Growing the Game

EXG NPC is committed to developing the next generation of Junior golfers through the EXG NPC programme and schools initiatives.

EXG NPC Golf Development

The EXG NPC programme is a national initiative to introduce and develop golf among previously disadvantaged communities. EXG NPC actively participates in and supports Junior Golf activities across all regions.

Players identified through EXG NPC are guided along a structured pathway from introduction through to club membership and competitive play.

Community

Community Outreach

EXG NPC supports outreach across Gauteng communities — partnering with clubs, schools, and municipalities to widen access to the game.

EXG NPC Objectives

  • Introduce golf to previously underserved communities
  • Identify and nurture talented junior players
  • Provide access to equipment and coaching
  • Link EXG NPC participants to affiliated club membership
  • Feed talent into the EXG NPC junior competition pathway

Schools Golf

The EXG NPC Schools Programme brings competitive golf to Gauteng schools — nurturing talent from a young age and providing a structured competition pathway from school level to provincial representation.

Competition

Inter-Schools Championships

Team and individual competitions between Gauteng schools — fostering healthy rivalry and developing competitive skills in a school-specific environment.

Development

School Club Programme

Schools can affiliate their golf club to EXG NPC, giving their students access to WHS handicaps, sanctioned fixtures, and the provincial competition pathway.

Pathway

Transition to Junior Club

Talented school players are guided into the Junior Clubs League — bridging the gap between school golf and the full EXG NPC competition structure.
